UTG UNIVERSALTECHNIK-Maier Industrieanlagenbau GmbH was established in 1988 as an engineering company offering industrial plant design, project management services and equipment and plant supply. At the beginning, UTG's core business focussed on pulp and paper mills and chemical plants. Over the years, we have expanded our expertise and business to also cover the areas of pharmaceutical, biotechnological and metallurgical plant design and, most recently, by the energy optimisation sector.
UTG's head offices are located in Graz, Austria. In 1992, a branch office, UTG-West, was opened in Kundl/Tyrol to ensure permanent local service to our customers in Western Austria, Southern Germany and Northern Italy. The company's geographical expansion was continued in 2000, when UTG established a subsidiary, "UTG Anlagentechnik GmbH" in Frankfurt on the Main in Germany.
UTG's scope of business covers the full project range of a new installation or a plant rebuild: project definition, execution and controlling process engineering, plant engineering, electrical engineering and automation as well as supply of equipment.
