UTG Universaltechnik GmbH was founded in 1988 as an engineering office and has since developed into a leading provider of high-end engineering solutions in plant and mechanical engineering. Our original focus was on the planning and realisation of projects in paper and pulp technology and chemical plant engineering.
Over the years, we have continuously expanded our expertise and added forward-looking sectors such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, energy optimisation and non-ferrous metallurgy to our areas of competence. This development reflects our ability to respond flexibly to new technological and economic requirements and deliver innovative solutions for the industry of tomorrow.

Presence in Austria
One company - three locations
Our head office in Graz forms the centrepiece of UTG Universaltechnik GmbH and has been the central hub of our company since it was founded. To further strengthen our proximity to our customers, we opened a branch in Kirchbichl/Tyrol in 1992 and another office in Vienna in 2017. This strategic distribution of locations enables us to offer our services directly on site and respond flexibly to our customers’ requirements.
With a network of experienced engineers, project managers and technical experts, we ensure that each region is optimally supported. Our geographical presence combined with our comprehensive expertise makes us a leading partner for industrial projects in Austria and beyond.
